An Intermediate Care Registered Nurse manages the care of patients with non-life threatening, but usually severe symptoms who need advanced assessment and intensive therapies.
As an Intermediate Care RN some of your duties consist of:
First patient consultation.
Write custom plan of care based on the condition of the patient.
Working directly with the physicians to implement appropriate treatments.
Continuing evaluations as needed based on the status of the patient.
Document all patient assessment findings, feedback to treatments and the patient's general progress.
Summarize all information on patients to the appropriate co-workers at the end of each shift.
One year of experience as an Intermediate Care RN within the past two years.
Current RN License in good standing.
Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
