The Cath Lab RN assists doctors in the analysis and treatment of cardiac conditions. Cath lab RNs are responsible for preparing the patient for their procedures, and give physical and emotional support to the patient.
As a Catheterization Lab Nurse your responsibilities include:
Checking the patient’s vitals before, during and after procedures.
Giving and logging medication.
Providing treatment when necessary.
Assisting the doctors perform several procedures such as stent placements.
One year of experience as a Cath Lab RN within the past two years.
