The key priority for the Oncology RN is to provide care for patients who are diagnosed with various stages of cancer. Oncology Registered Nurses also work with patients that have a high risk of getting the disease, and provide the patients with preventative techniques.
As an Oncology Nurse your duties consist of:
Providing sympathy to patients while educating them on their condition.
Administering chemotherapy and other critical medications to the patient.
Observing the patient’s physical and mental health and recording their progress.
One year of experience as a Oncology Nurse within the past two years.
Active RN License in good standing.
Up to date Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
