A Nursery Nurse typically works in hospital nurseries. Sometimes helping in private residences or outpatient care centers when home care is required for babies who are sick. Nursery Nurses usually provide non-medical care such as changing dirty diapers and taking care of colicky babies. Additional assignments can vary based on the need.
Nursery Registered Nurse duties consist of:
Assisting the doctor.
Instructing family of the patient of correct home care and follow-up steps.
Administering medications, tests, treatments and procedures.
Creating and reviewing patient care plans.
Documenting patient records.
One year of experience as a Nursery Nurse within the past two years.
Current Nursing License in good standing.
Current Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
