The key focus for the Oncology Registered Nurse is to care for patients who are diagnosed with different stages of cancer. Oncology RNs also consult patients that have a elevated risk of getting the disease, and supply their patients with preventative options.
As an Oncology Registered Nurse your duties include:
Offering sympathy to patients while educating them on their condition.
Administering chemotherapy and other necessary medications to the patient.
Observing the patient’s physical and mental condition and logging the patient's progress.
One year of experience as a Oncology RN within the past two years.
