The Operating Room Nurse is responsible for assisting surgeons in the OR. OR Nurses will prepare the room and the patient for the procedure and make positive that all medical equipment is clean and operating properly.
Operating Room Nurse duties include:
Assessing the health of the patient before, during and after the operation.
Predict what the surgeons need and hand instruments and medical supplies to them during operations.
Gathering and labeling any items needed for laboratory examinations.
One year of experience as an Operating Room Nurse within the past two years.
Active RN License in good standing.
Up to date Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
