The principal focus for the Oncology RN is to provide care for patients who are diagnosed with various stages of cancer. Oncology Registered Nurses also help patients that have a increased risk of getting the disease, and present their patients with preventative options.
As an Oncology Nurse your responsibilities consist of:
Providing care and concern to patients while teaching them on their condition.
Administering chemotherapy and other needed medications to the patient.
Observing the patient’s physical and mental condition and making notes of their progress.
One year of experience as a Oncology Nurse within the past two years.
Current Nursing License in good standing.
Up to date BLS through American Heart Association.
