The Medical Intensive Care Unit Nurse is responsible for analyzing, diagnosis, treating, and evaluation of patients who are dealing with serious medical diseases, illnesses, or organ failures. The MICU Nurse need to remain composed in all situations when working with patients in this unit, because they need a high level of care.
As a MICU Nurse your duties include:
Working with other members of the medical staff to write a care plan for the patient.
Constantly monitor the patient's vitals and log any changes ad progress.
Teaching the patient and their family members on the patient's current health condition and coordinate the patient's discharge plans, if need be.
One year of experience as a MICU Registered nurse within the past two years.
Active Nursing License in good standing.
Up to date BLS through American Heart Association.
