The Catheterization Lab Nurse assists medical staff in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac problems. Catherization lab RNs are responsible for preparing the patient for their examinations, and provide physical and emotional support to the patient.
As a Catheterization Lab Nurse your responsibilities consist of:
Checking the patient’s vital signs before, during and after procedures.
Giving and logging prescribed medication.
Providing treatment when necessary.
Assisting the physicians perform various procedures such as angioplasties.
One year of experience as a Cath Lab Registered Nurse within the past two years.
Current RN License in good standing.
Up to date Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
