The Catheterization Lab Nurse assists medical staff in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions. Catheterization lab nurses are responsible for preparing the patient for their procedures, and give physical and emotional support to the patient.
As a Cath Lab Nurse your duties include:
Monitoring the patient’s vitals before, during and after their procedure.
Giving and recording medication.
Providing treatment when needed.
Assisting the physicians perform several procedures such as angioplasties.
One year of experience as a Cath Lab RN within the past two years.
Current Nursing License in good standing.
Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
