The main focus for the Oncology RN is to assist patients who are diagnosed with different stages of cancer. Oncology RNs also take care of patients that have a greater risk of getting the disease, and supply them with preventative routines.
As an Oncology Nurse your responsibilities include:
Offering compassion to patients while educating them on their condition.
Administering chemotherapy and other necessary medications to the patient.
Watching the patient’s physical and mental condition and logging their progress.
One year of experience as a Oncology Registered Nurse within the past two years.
Current RN License in good standing.
Current Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
