The Orthopedic RN is responsible for providing care for patients that suffer from musculoskeletal disorders. It is necessary for Orthopedic Registered Nurses to be understanding of the patient's they are working with and make certain the patient is receiving the best health care plan available.
As a Orthopedic RN your duties include:
Assisting the patient while they recover by administering basic mobility and strength tactics.
Teaching patients and their families on musculoskeletal diseases and disorders and how to cope with them.
Helping the doctors while performing medical procedures if necessary.
One year of experience as a Orthopedic Nurse within the past two years.
Current Nursing License in good standing.
Up to date Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
