The Catheterization Lab Nurse assists medical staff in the analysis and treatment of cardiac conditions. Catherization lab RNs are responsible for preparing the patient for their procedures, and provide emotional and physical support to the patient.
As a Catheterization Lab RN your duties consist of:
Monitoring the patient’s vitals before, during and after their procedure.
Giving and logging prescribed medication.
Providing treatment as needed.
Assisting the doctors perform different procedures such as angioplasties.
One year of experience as a Cath Lab RN within the past two years.
Current Nursing License in good standing.
Up to date BLS through American Heart Association.
