The Operating Room Nurse is responsible for assisting surgeons in the OR. OR RNs will prep the operating room and the patient for the procedure and make positive that all equipment is safe and operating correctly.
Operating Room RN responsibilities consist of:
Analyzing the well being of the patient before, during and after the procedure.
Predict what the surgeons need and hand instruments and supplies to them during operations.
Preserving and logging the items needed for lab examinations.
One year of experience as an Operating Room RN within the past two years.
Active RN License in good standing.
Up to date Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
