Long Term Care RNs generally work in medical facilities, convalescent homes, hospice or assisted-living centers. Long Term Care Nurses must be comfortable assessing patients, writing patient care plans, providing guidance and schedule treatments for the patients. A Long Term Care RN generally observes the work of a Licensed Practical Nurse.
As a Long Term Care RN your responsibilities consist of:
Monitoring the condition and the vital signs of patients.
Maintaining records for the facility.
Implementing treatment plans.
Supervising aides and assistants as they help patient's general needs.
One year of experience as a Long Term Care RN within the past two years.
Current RN License in good standing.
Current BLS through American Heart Association.
Negative Drug Screen.
