Job Description

A Nursery Registered Nurse generally works in hospital nurseries. Sometimes working in private residences or outpatient care centers when home care is required for sick babies. Nursery Nurses usually provide non-medical care such as changing soiled diapers and comforting colicky babies. Additional duties can vary based on the need.


Nursery Nurse duties include:
  • Assisting the physician.
  • Instructing patients’ family of correct home care and follow-up care.
  • Administering prescribed meds, tests, treatments and procedures.
  • Writing and managing patient care plans.
  • Managing patient records.


One year of experience as a Nursery RN within the past two years.
  • Active RN License in good standing.
  • Up to date BLS through American Heart Association.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
