Emergency Nurses help patients that are experiencing life-threatening injuries or trauma. Emergency Room RNs need to have the ability to rapidly identify life-threatening problems while remaining calm and professional.
As an Emergency Room RNs your responsibilities include:
Managing time and having the ability to make quick, accurate assessments.
Ensuring patients are stable and reducing any pain in an intense setting.
Providing medications while checking for allergies to prevent complications.
Rapidly obtain vitals and other health samples if needed.
One year of experience as an Emergency nurse within the past two years.
Current Nursing License in good standing.
Current Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
