The Operating Room Nurse is responsible for working with surgeons in the operating room. Operating Room RNs will prepare the OR and the patient for surgery and make certain that all medical equipment is safe and working properly.
Operating Room Nurse duties include:
Evaluating the health of the patient before, during and after the operation.
Predict what the surgeons need and hand instruments and medical supplies to them during procedures.
Collecting and tracking the items needed for laboratory examinations.
One year of experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse within the past two years.
Current Nursing License in good standing.
Up to date Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
