The Catheterization Lab Nurse assists physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac problems. Catheterization lab nurses are responsible for preparing the patient for their procedures, and give physical and emotional support to the patient.
As a Catheterization Lab RN your duties include:
Monitoring the patient’s vital signs before, during and after their procedure.
Administering and documenting medication.
Providing treatment as necessary.
Assisting the physicians perform different procedures such as angioplasties.
One year of experience as a Cath Lab Nurse within the past two years.
