Stepdown Nurses take care of patients who have been seriously injured or ill and who are recovering. Stepdown RNs help with a smooth and safe changeover from the Intensive Care Unit to the general nursing floors, for both the patients and their families.
As a Stepdown Registered Nurse your duties consist of:
Developing a care plan for the patient while collaborating with other healthcare staff members.
Closely overseeing the care of the patient and take steps to make certain they are stable.
Handling patient assessments (pre and post Intensive Care Unit care) and document results.
One year of experience as a Stepdown Nurse within the past two years.
Active RN License in good standing.
Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
