The principal focus for the Oncology Registered Nurse is to assist patients who are diagnosed with different levels of cancer. Oncology Nurses also take care of patients that have a increased risk of getting the disease, and provide the patients with preventative techniques.
As an Oncology RN your duties consist of:
Providing sympathy to patients while coaching them on their condition.
Administering chemotherapy and other critical medications to the patient.
Monitoring the patient’s physical and mental state and logging their progress.
One year of experience as a Oncology Registered Nurse within the past two years.
Current RN License in good standing.
Up to date BLS through American Heart Association.
