The main priority for the Oncology Registered Nurse is to care for patients who are diagnosed with different levels of cancer. Oncology Nurses also assist patients that have a increased risk of getting the disease, and present them with preventative options.
As an Oncology RN your duties consist of:
Offering encouragement to patients while teaching them on their condition.
Administering chemotherapy and other crucial medications to the patient.
Monitoring the patient’s physical and mental well being and logging their progress.
One year of experience as a Oncology RN within the past two years.
Current RN License in good standing.
Up to date Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
