The Cath Lab Nurse assists doctors in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac problems. Catherization lab RNs are responsible for preparing the patient for their examinations, and provide emotional and physical support to the patient.
As a Cath Lab Nurse your responsibilities include:
Checking the patient’s vitals before, during and after their procedure.
Giving and documenting prescribed medication.
Providing treatment when necessary.
Assisting the doctors perform varying procedures such as stent placements and angioplasties.
One year of experience as a Cath Lab Nurse within the past two years.
