Occupational Therapists

Occupational therapists work with patients who suffer from emotional, mental, physical, or developmental disability with the goal of improving the patient's ability to perform tasks in both home and work environments.  Therapists assess the patient's degree of disability and form an individualized plan of care for the patient, implementing exercises to improve coordination, physical ability, problem-solving, abstract reasoning and perceptual skills.  They monitor the patient's progress from evaluation to discharge, changing the treatment strategy as needed to meet client goals.
